| EMBL Interdisciplinary Postdocs – EIPOD
2009 Call for Applications
Promoting interdisciplinary research, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory invites young scientists to apply for the 2009 EIPOD selection.
EIPOD projects connect scientific fields that are usually separate or transfer techniques to a novel context. Applicants are invited to propose an interdisciplinary project according to their scientific interest or may select from a set of predefined research projects.
EIPOD projects will be hosted by at least two labs at the five EMBL sites:
• EMBL Heidelberg (Cell Biology and Biophysics Unit, Developmental Biology Unit, Genome Biology Unit, Structural and Computational Biology Unit, Directors’ Research)
• EMBL Grenoble (Structural Biology Unit)
• EMBL Hamburg (Structural Biology Unit)
• EMBL-EBI Hinxton (European Bioinformatics Institute)
• EMBL Monterotondo (Mouse Biology Unit)
In 2009, EMBL and Marie Curie Action Cofund will support up to 20 interdisciplinary Postdocs for a maximum period of 3 years. Complementary funding can be used to extend postdoctoral training up to a total duration of five years. EIPODs will join the EMBL postdoctoral programme with its broad range of advanced training and career development opportunities.
Online application open until 31st October 2009.
EMBL is an inclusive, equal opportunity employer offering attractive conditions and benefits appropriate to an international research organisation.
