Academic qualifications

•Since September 2005:  Pursuing PhD in Bioinformatics from University of Ulster, United Kingdom. The topic of my research is “Comparative genomics approach to understand the Role of Horizontal gene transfer in Eubacterial thermophily.” Scheduled submission of the thesis is in end of the May 2009.
•2002-2003: One year Postgraduate diploma in Bioinformatics from Amity institute of Biotechnology (AIB) Amity University, Noida, India.
•1999-2001: Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology from University department of Biotechnology, LNM University, Darbhanga, India.
•1992-1995: Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) in Botany (Honours) from LNM University, Darbhanga, India.

Professional qualification:
•1995-1998: Three years diploma in hotel management and catering technology from Indian institute of Hotel management (IIHM), Patna, India.

Projects/Trainings (Biotechnology)
•M.Sc. dissertation project title “ Studies on DNA polymorphism in Bhadawari breed of buffalo, using RAPD-PCR markers” from Livestock genome analysis lab, National Dairy research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, India

•Four weeks summer training on “Basic molecular biology techniques” from Central drug research institute (CDRI), Lucknow, India.
•Three months training on “Mushroom culture technology” from Rajendra agriculture university (RAU), Pusa, India.

•Undergone six months industrial training from Mascon global limited and developed an automated “Back Translation” tool for protein sequence analysis.

Worked with Mascon Global limited (August, 2004 to August, 2005) under Life sciences divisions, New Delhi, India as “Trainee-systems”.

•I have been involved in several demonstrating undergraduate and Postgraduate students within Biochemistry and microbiology laboratory exercise at University of Ulster, UK.
